1. A series of solar flares and coronal mass ejections from the sun are creating dazzling auroras across the globe

At Lake District, England, the last time a solar storm of this magnitude reached Earth was in October 2003. If you missed it last night, you may get another chance tonight

From @sansonilens

2. Some hikes are built different, at Nepal

Voted as one of the most beautiful multiple day hikes in the world the Annapurna circuit in Nepal has a lot to offer! From lush forests, waterfalls, stunning mountains, glaciers, wildlife, amazing villages, buddhist temples, the Annapurna circuit has it all!

From @_lucameier

7. Walking on clouds atop Ecuador’s tallest peak: Volcán Chimborazo - 6,286 metres / 20,623 feet.

Quite surreal to spend a few moments at the closest point on earth to the sun; entirely quiet, except for the sound of my crampons crunching in the snow and ice.

From @jessfindlay

8. Who would you want to share this view with? 💚At Lac du Montagnon, Pyrenees Mountains, France

From @danieliruela

9. This hike is called Lake Serene in the North Cascade Mountains just outside of Seattle by a few hours drive

You can access this hike very easily by car and the climb to the top is steep but well worth the trip. Springtime is best as bridal veil falls will also be flowing with a good amount of water along the route!⁣
Definitely one of my top easier hikes l’ve done in Washington! The scenery is hard to beat.⁣

Tips: best to detour to Bridal Veil Falls on your way up as it’s easy to skip and you will be tired at the end of your route. Also keep an eye on your weather radar as you don’t want to arrive at the lake without a view due to fog, clouds, etc

18. Hornstrandir Nature Reserve, located in the Westjords is super remote, rugged, and breathtakingly beautiful

It is truly a hikers paradise. You can only access Hornstrandir by ferry and then by foot. 🛥️🥾⁣

Hiking here is only accessible from about June-Aug when the ferry runs. I recommend going in late July if you want to see the wildflowers in peak bloom and have the best chance of good weather (although still unpredictable). I also recommend spending a minimum of 2 days here

From @macs_explore ⁣

Located at the foot of the Ausangate glacier at about 4800 meters (15,700 feet) of elevation, the red colour of the water is caused by proliferation of clay and algae in its waters.⁣ Would you go explore this area?

From @isaac_somar ⁣
