📆 Icebergs usually start appearing in April, but the peak time to find them is May and early June. ✔️
🗺️ Icebergs typically follow the ‘iceberg alley’ path along Newfoundland’s northeast coast - stretching from St. Anthony, down the east side of the Great Northern Peninsula and along the north coast as far as St. John’s. 🚐
👀 Check as many small coves or bays along this route as you can, you never know where they might end up! 🧐
🧭 Even though icebergs can be massive, they can also move quickly! Sometimes they can get stuck in a cove or bay for weeks, and other times it feels like if you blink, you’ll miss it. If you’re chasing icebergs, you have to be ready to adapt your plans. 🏃
⛈️ The weather can be unpredictable, so be prepared! Bring extra layers in case it gets cool, and wet weather gear in case it rains. Try and bring binoculars too, in case the ice is far off from shore but you still want to get a good look. 🤩
