This is a strong contender for one of the best fish & chips spots in London! 😍 Everything here is excellent and I loved that they also serve extras like grilled octopus and oysters! 🦪 For the fish, you can choose from cod, haddock or plaice, all cooked to order with traditional batter, panko, matzo or gluten free breadcrumbs👏🏼 Thick cut chips, mushy peas and onion rings make for the perfect sides 🔥 Their sauces are amazing too especially the tartar sauce which paired perfectly with everything!
Fresh fish arrives daily from carefully sourced suppliers and the owner personally fillets each one, no frozen fish here! 😯 The quality really stands out and true Brits can definitely taste the difference 👀 A big bonus for me was the dessert selection which most chippies don’t offer, the apple pie is the perfect way to end the meal! 🥧 🍏
This spot is a celeb favourite too with Lady Gaga, Sting, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Stevie Wonder and even Michael Jackson dropping by 🤯 The interiors are just as iconic featuring a one of a kind octopus shaped bar and a mix of traditional and modern vibes! 😊

This was a French dining experience that was absolutely spectacular! 😍 Every dish is incredibly authentic and delicious with French classics like Escargot, Boeuf Bourguignon, Mussels, Frog Legs and of course their iconic freshly made crêpes! 🔥 I loved everything, you can really taste the care that goes into each dish! 👏🏼 This was also the first time I’ve ever enjoyed snails 😂 Their selection of cheeses and seafood is outstanding! 🙌🏼
For dessert, the Crêpe Suzette is an absolute showstopper 🤤 Topped with zesty orange sauce and vanilla ice cream, it’s pure perfection! 😮💨 Watching your crêpes being made right in front of you is such a magical experience, the whole restaurant fills with the sweet aroma instantly transporting you to Parisian streets! 🍊The flaming Crème Brûlée is another unforgettable must try! 🤯
The restaurant is rustic and intimate just like a traditional French tavern 😍 With French themed paintings and a warm inviting atmosphere, it’s perfect for a cosy meal! Service is fantastic too, the staff are attentive and friendly 👌🏼

21. There’s a moment, just before the train appears, when the Highlands fall completely silent🚂🪄🦉🧣🦌
The air feels heavier, the mist curls around the hills and suddenly you understand why they call this place magical.
🚂 The Glenfinnan Viaduct is where the famous Hogwarts Express scene was filmed, and yes… it feels just as surreal in real life.
📍 Where: Glenfinnan Viaduct, Scottish Highlands - about a 3-hour drive northwest from Edinburgh, on the road to the Isle of Skye.
🕰 When: The Jacobite steam train usually crosses twice a day around 10:45 AM and 3:30 PM (check the schedule, it can vary by season).
💡 Tip: Arrive early! I recommend at least 2-3h. The parking fills up fast, and the short hike to the viewpoint takes about 20–30 minutes.
⭐ Worth it? Absolutely. Whether you grew up waiting for your Hogwarts letter or you just love breathtaking landscapes - this view will transport you somewhere else entirely.
