19. Three days in Nusa Penida and I get the hype.
Rugged roads, dramatic cliffs, turquoise water, boat rides, and adventures this island is not a “slow Bali” moment, it’s a full-on experience.
I explored Nusa Penida over 3 days, which honestly felt perfect enough time to see both the West & East without rushing (trust me, distances here look small on maps but feel wild on the road).
🗓️ How I did it:
Day 1 – West Penida: Sunrise at Kelingking (before the crowds), Paluang Cliff views, Broken Beach & Angel’s Billabong, ending the day at Crystal Bay for sunset vibes.
Day 2 – East Penida: Diamond Beach’s insane staircase, Atuh Beach swims, Thousand Islands viewpoint, Rumah Pohon Tree House & rolling green Teletubbies Hills.Day 3 – Ocean & hidden gems: Morning boat ride to snorkel quiet coral spots, the iconic blue stairs at Peguyangan Waterfall, then sunset drinks before heading back.
Between hopping on boats 🚤 and riding a bike through narrow island roads 🛵, this trip felt raw, thrilling, and unforgettable.
If you’re planning Nusa Penida and want a realistic 3-day itinerary, travel tips, where to stay, and how to get around safely, I’ve broken everything down on my blog.

24. Snow in Athens is rare…but today, the city is glowing in white!❄️🌨️
💡 Athens, known for its Mediterranean climate with mild, wet winters, rarely experiences heavy snow. When it does snow, the city transforms as streets, rooftops, and parks are covered in white, creating a unique and picturesque scene. Such snowfalls are uncommon and often last only a day or two, making them a special event for both residents and visitors. The rare snowfall can also temporarily affect transport and daily routines but offers a magical opportunity for photography and winter city exploration.

27. You’re looking at a living piece of medieval history - the oldest astronomical clock in the world that’s still working today!🕰️
This is Prague’s Astronomical Clock, installed in 1410 on the Old Town Hall, making it 616 years old – the world’s third-oldest astronomical clock, but the oldest still OPERATING! It tracks not only time but the movements of the sun and moon as well as the rhythm of the calendar.
And every hour between 8am and 11pm, the clock comes to life as the Twelve Apostles appear, a skeleton representing Death rings a bell, and the figures move in a centuries-old mechanical performance that has drawn crowds for over 600 years.
Standing in the Old Town Square and watching it go off was so cool, especially knowing that generations of others have also gathered in the exact same spot, every day, on the hour, in awe of the craftsmanship and history before them for centuries!
ALSO: You can also do guided tours of the historical interiors of the Old Town Hall, but we didn’t get to. It’s on the list for next time! The Old Town Hall the oldest institution of Czech self-government and at the end of World War II, its underground served as the center of the Prague Uprising against Nazism and the town hall was almost destroyed by shelling. I’d say the tour is really good!
