10. The Lonely Tree, at Vancouver Island, Canada
A different perspective of Van Isle's infamous bonsai tree. Captured this over the weekend on a little day trip with my wife. The conditions weren't the greatest at the usual spot I'd photograph this tree. But as I drove around to this side of the lake, it cleared up quite nicely and offered an excellent reflection. As usual, I tried to go for a really vibrant look to this image by accentuating the faint Autumn tones that are beginning to show in the trees and foliage this time of the year

I've been wanting to photograph this location at blue hour for years now and finally got the opportunity to on our honeymoon. After spending a week in Whistler, we decided to stay a night in Lillooet before heading to the Rockies. I absolutely love the landscapes in this area, but I must say, not too many options for staying the night. We stayed at the 'best-rated' hotel in town which ended up being a somewhat sketchy little motel... Regardless though, it was worth it. Being able to stay near these impressive and underrated landscapes was a photo dream come true. And thankfully since my wife is a totally awesome and adventurous girl, she was completely up for doing some spontaneous blue hour hiking in grizzly country. It was quite the little adventure and I'm stoked to finally get some photos from this spot that I've been wanting for awhile!

It amazes me how many times I've visited this beautiful lake over the past few years and didn't rent a canoe until now! My wife and I decided to go for it last week and wow was it ever worth it. Seeing this beautiful lake and the mountains that surround it from the water was an incredible experience and offered many opportunities for photography. It was a bit sketchy having all my camera gear with me in the canoe. But fortunately no accidents happened and my gear made it back to dry land without any issues
