Maldives The Wonderful Destinations To Travel This March 2023

1. The beach villas at here are some of the most beautiful villas we’ve come across in the Maldives

the hardware, design, color palette… everything is just so perfect and so incredibly well maintained. i can only think of one beach villa in the maldives that so far i prefer to this one (that is the six senses ocean beach pool villa). but from a luxury standpoint, the milaidhoo beach villas are top notch.

the pictures on this post highlight a mix of the more expensive beach residence, as well as the less “expensive” beach villas. for me, these villas are a perfect example of indoor/outdoor living in the maldives, which not many properties showcase. the windows on in the main bedroom area open up fully on both sides (accordion style) to create a fully open flow between the beach, your pool deck, and the inside of your room.

rates at milaidhoo generally start at around $1-1.2k per night in low season, but these villas are worth every penny. not to mention the stunning, pristine powder white sand beach that sits in front of these villas (swipe all the way thru to see it!)

11. 7 reasons as to why I think Maldives is the perfect place for first time travelers

✅ seaplane transfer for ~views~

✅ lush, beautiful natural island(s) with so many different beaches to explore

✅ rustic yet modern villas (tip: book a grand water villa for the best views)

✅ accessible house reef with pretty good snorkeling and lots of parrotfish

✅ insane selection of top tier restaurants, with the ability to dine under water

✅ a top 3 lagoon - the shades of blue never end

✅ prime, completely secluded location (no local islands and very little seaplane traffic)

12. Are we in BALI or the MALDIVES, can you guess where is this?

the treetop villas at Maldives are amongst the most unique villas ive come across in all my travels to this destination, and are one of many (many) reasons why i love this amilla so much.

i was initially a little apprehensive about this room category as when traveling to the maldives, i generally prefer to be on the beach, on the water, or a stone’s throw away from both. despite this, i can say that these treetop villas rooms very wow’d me.

the vaulted ceilings, the soothing color scheme, the wonderful deck, and the pool suspended over the trees make the room a fantastic choice and a really cool way to see a “different” side of the maldives. plus, the view of the ocean from all the way up here is totally stunning. these villas totally reminded me of some of the hotel’s ive stayed at in bali - and more specifically ubud.

all of the treetop villas can be converted into a 2 bedroom configuration so they’re great when traveling with friends or as a family.

most importantly, the treetop villas have dedicated beach chairs on one of the more secluded amilla fushi beaches for whenever you’re ready to venture from your private pool to get your beach fix.

when booked in the 1 bedroom configuration, these villas are (generally) the least expensive room category on the island, so they can be an awesome gateway to experience all that amilla has to offer for a slightly more affordable rate. when we go back to amilla, i will definitely try to spend at least part of my holiday in this specific room category!

13. Do you prefer sunny mornings or dreamy sunsets? At Maldives

personally, we’re team “morning” over here (the turquoise just hits different imo), but when the sunsets are as magical as the ones at here, it’s hard to pick

14. Sometimes all i think about is the masterpiece water villa in Maldives

15. Dreamy views from one of the most beautiful spots in the maldives

16. What the most important thing on your list when choosing your Maldives island?

for me personally, its the beauty of the beaches and the lagoon. such as the one highlighted here

everything else comes second.

there are so many beautiful, luxurious resort in the maldives that have been developed over the last decade (think: cheval blanc, waldorf astoria, ritz, patina, etc) that would have had so much potential in my opinion had they been built on natural islands.

unfortunately, this new trend of dredging sand to artificially create islands has made it so that these new resorts are all located on these relatively unattractive terrain. let’s hope that this trend stops soon… and we can enjoy more stunning properties like the one highlighted here

From @fedeecarnevale

21. This definitely one of the more spectacular water villa decks i’ve seen in the Maldives

the pool is beyond massive and the sheer quantity of seating options is absurd. i could spend my entire week without leaving this water villa deck without ever getting bored.

the one downside? unfortunately, for me at least, this room falls a bit short in terms of views. the recently added sea walls are a nuisance and the seafloor is not the best (which in turn affects the coloring of the water).

the fix? book a sunset side water villa. same exact deck layout but there you’ll find a sandy seafloor and lagoon views for days. to me, this is simply one of the best water villas in the maldives

From @fedeecarnevale

22. Forever chasing blues, Maldives you are magical

From @fedeecarnevale

23. Is this the BEST bathroom in all of the maldives? for me, it might as well be. or at the very least, the most unique

25. Beach villa perfection
