9. This is a “Floating Aperitivo” in the Italian Alps.🏔️🥂

Aperitivo is a pre-dinner drink and snack tradition that originated in Italy. 🇮🇹✨

It is typically served before dinner and is meant to stimulate the appetite and prepare the palate for the meal to come. 🍝🍽️💫

Aperitivo usually consists of light drinks like vermouth, prosecco or spritz, and small plates of appetizers such as olives, cheese, cured meats, tiny sandwiches, or even little pizzas. 🍕🍸🧀

In the Italian Alps, they definitely take it to the next level. ✨

Who’d you take here with you? 🥰

11. Who else is missing Christmas?

Just because it is over this year doesn’t mean we cannot start planning next years markets. The Stuttgart market was definitely one to visit not only can you visit the nearby Stadt Esslingen for a unique medieval market, but you can also see the unique stalls decorated rooftops at the Christmas Markets throughout Stuttgart.
.
3 million people visit each year. This market was huge with amazing decorations around every corner, ice skating, and see why the rooftops of the stalls are all so beautiful. They actually have a contest to see who has the best roof decor during the Christmas Markets here.
.
There is also another unique Christmas market- a Finnish Christmas Market in Germany!
.
This maybe one of the most unique and surprising stops on a Christmas Market tour and one you won’t regret!

23. When you get to visit the towns that inspired Beauty and the Beast and that was the best gift of all.

Eguisheim is another beautiful town in Alsace, you MUST save this so you don’t forget about it.
.
But how could you look at it. I visited this small town that is centered with concentric circles that you can walk through alley ways, see beautiful churches, and the castle /chapel at the center. The colorful buildings and beautiful streets are full of history. See the age of the homes inscribed above the doorways, enjoy awesome food, cafes, and bakeries in Eguisheim.
.
Château Saint-Léon is a centuries-old castle and you can see the beautiful town square with a statue of the most famous resident this city has seen a former Pope Leo IX (21 June 1002 – 19 April 1054), born Bruno von Egisheim-Dagsburg, 1049 to his death in 1054.
.
Eguisheim is definitely worth a stop anytime of year but the holidays and Christmas Markets are definitely a highlight of the cities celebrations. This market goes from Nov 25- Dec 30! So walk don’t run to this quaint town in Alsace.
.
Who is ready for an Alsace adventure? I am 100 percent coming back maybe next time in the summer.
