7. One thing about Maine that I find so cool is that there’s actually more miles of coastline than the entire state of California
If you look at a map, you’d probably think I made that up but there’s so many islands, bays, tiny peninsulas—it’s definitely not your average coastline! And with that, comes so many lighthouses.
Regardless of weather, doing a lighthouse roadtrip is a perfect way to enjoy the coastline at a relaxed pace. Spending time admiring these beautiful structures also was the perfect way to see many different spots along the Maine coast
